Olympique de Marseille welcomes Strasbourg this Friday for the 18th day of Ligue 1 (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Marseille club.

It’s a month of January that looks like a turning point that Olympique de Marseille is approaching with the reception in Strasbourg, this Friday. The Marseille club must indeed deal with the departures of 7 players from its squad for the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, which makes it the Ligue 1 team most impacted by the continental tournament.

Gennaro Gattuso will therefore have to reshape his starting lineup for the next rounds. The Italian gave an update on the state of his troops. “Claus is fine. It was a choice against Thionville. He and Gigot risked suspension. Correa will return next week. Mughe, I haven’t heard from the lawyers, he is training with us. Rongier did some work outside, things are also progressing for him with his injury.”

With these departures combined with a busy infirmary, Gattuso should incorporate several players into his lineup. Elements like Murillo, Meïté or Nadir could thus start against Strasbourg this Friday evening. On the other hand, the 3-5-2 system which proved its worth at the start of winter should not be changed.

The expected lineup for OM : Pau Lopez – Meïté, Gigot, Balerdi – Clauss, Nadir, Kondogbia, Veretout, Murillo – Vitinha, Aubameyang
