A former great Manchester United player believes that Erik Ten Hag should not stay at the helm of the English club for too long.
Former Manchester United star Andrei Kanchelskis is worried about his former club. And he does not see Erik Ten Hag lasting at the head of this team beyond the current season.
“We have to change everything at Manchester United”
He said in his column for Odds.ru: “The team must start winning regularly and then confidence will appear. I don’t think a change of coach now will help. The conclusions will be drawn at the end of the season, and it is very likely that the coach will then be changed.”
The Russian is not very optimistic for the future, despite the recent takeover of MU by INEOS. “I don’t believe the club will experience a period of stability. The club has been experiencing a ‘bad season’ for several years. The team simply fell into a hole. We have to look for a way out, other specialists and coaches for the club.”
Kanchelskis concluded by providing a very sad assessment of the decline experienced by the Red Devils: “Previously, the goal was just first place. Second place was already considered a disaster. And now, reaching the European places is already a blessing… For Sunday, and the match against Tottenham, we shouldn’t expect too much from Manchester United.
