Real Madrid are firmly in the race for Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé, and there has been a flurry of reports about his future over the past couple of weeks.
However, rumors surrounding Manchester City star Erling Haaland have also increased and there is no doubt that if Mbappé stays at PSG, the Whites will pursue the Norwegian. Reports from Spain still insist that even if Haaland is not signed this summer, the door will remain open for him in the future. In recent days it has been reported that if Haaland wanted to join Real, it would cost a sum closer to 100 million euros than 200 million.
Today, La Cadena SER reports that Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has joined efforts to persuade Haaland to make the move. Much like Vinicius who regularly spoke to him about joining Los Blancos, Bellingham spoke to Haaland about the way of life at Santiago Bernabéu.
Haaland doesn’t need much convincing about Spain, as he owns a house in Marbella and visits there regularly in the summer. It is rather Mbappé who risks putting obstacles in his way. Real Madrid seem relatively confident that the French striker will end up at the Bernabeu. Once Mbappé is there, Haaland’s recruitment will require the sale of Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior, who both have long-term contracts and could refuse to leave.
