A very secret marriage
On the first page of Bild, we learn that Sadio Mané got married this Sunday, during a secret ceremony in Dakar. But the supposed age of the bride, Aïcha Tambe, is causing a lot of ink to flow, in Germany, England, and especially in Senegal. According to various media, Sadio Mané’s wife is only 18 years old, and given that she has been his girlfriend for a long time, that would mean that he laid eyes on her when she was a minor. On the other hand, on social networks and in some Senegalese media, people say that she is 26 years old. Many Internet users therefore think that Aïcha Tamba did not marry the footballer of her own free will.
Sancho ordered to stay
What is making headlines in England, as usual, is the upcoming transfer of Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund. The English winger has been announced since the start of the winter transfer window by his former club to relaunch. Yesterday, the German media assured that everything was completed, only a few administrative details were missing before the operation was finalized. What is surprising is that in the end, Manchester United did not manage to permanently get rid of their unwanted side. Indeed, the BVB does not intend to make this loan a permanent transfer according to the Daily Star. It will therefore be a dry loan of 6 months which awaits Sancho. The German club cannot afford his £250,000-a-week wages, meaning he will become Manchester United’s problem again this summer. His loan to Dortmund for the remainder of the season will be finalized in the next 48 hours.
The Super League defends itself
In Mundo Deportivo, we are entitled to an exclusive interview with Bernd Reichart, CEO of A22 Sports, the company which manages the Super League. After the resolution of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) which ruled against the monopoly exercised by UEFA over European football competitions and gave wings to the Super League, the man of The business is very satisfied. He assures that “this new competition will revitalize the national championships“. He appears calm at the idea of seeing clubs which came out in favor of UEFA then turn to the Super League. But in the meantime, dozens of clubs have already responded to the call for this new competition, Bernd Reichart is categorical: “We are talking to forty or fifty clubs and we want to start as soon as possible, but there is no fixed date. The Super League guarantees more matches at the highest level than today and, moreover, throughout the season.»
