While they have until now played in navy blue at home, Didier Deschamps’ players will soon wear a lighter blue jersey. The French flag will be recalled in the V-neck and the rooster will be larger than on the previous version, with which Kylian Mbappé’s teammates reached the final of the 2022 World Cup.
The Blues with their new jersey against Germany
Those who are older will no doubt see a clear resemblance to the jersey that the Blues wore in the early 1970s. For the away “jersey”, Nike plans to keep the white color but will remove the patterns relating the history of France. Now make way for fine blue and red stripes, the golden rooster keeping the same size.
Will these vintage look jerseys be successful in stores? Answer from the end of March because Antoine Griezmann and his partners should not put it on before. According to Eurosport, it is actually planned that the Blues will inaugurate their new outfit during a friendly match against Germany on March 23 at Groupama Stadium in Lyon.
