After a very disappointing first leg, the Breton club intends to raise the bar to achieve its objectives, namely a qualifying place for a European Cup. Rennes, engaged on the European scene, must also face an overloaded schedule.
Shortly after taking office, Julien Stéphan, who succeeded Bruno Genesio on the Rennes bench, repeated his desire to keep Nemanja Matic. Like striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, the experienced Serbian midfielder is expected to leave. At the age of 35, Matic failed to win in Rennes.
