Ilaix Moriba’s career is at a standstill. A promising midfielder at FC Barcelona, he did not live up to expectations and moved to RB Leipzig in 2021. But the Guinean international did not play a single minute this season and was tipped for return to La Liga this winter. It is now done since Getafe has just announced his arrival on loan until the end of the season, this Monday.
“Getafe Football Club has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for the incorporation on loan of Guinean footballer Ilaix Moriba until the end of the season. Ilaix, focused with Guinea for the African Cup, will arrive in Getafe at the end of his team’s participation in the said competition., explains the Madrid club in its press release. Moriba will try to get back on track with the current eighth place in the Spanish Championship.
