The Norwegian international’s contract reportedly contains a special clause which could be activated during the next summer transfer window.

Arriving at Manchester City in July 2022, Erling Haaland should not stay at the club indefinitely.

When signing his contract with the team, the Norwegian striker, who has scored 19 goals in 22 games in all competitions this season, included a release clause which could allow for a possible move to Real Madrid.

According to the Spanish media AS, this clause will be active from the summer of 2024, set at 100 million euros for foreign clubs, including the Madrid club, and 200 million euros for English clubs.

It should be noted that the Leeds player remains in the plans of the Spanish vice-champion, in the event of failure in the recruitment of French striker Kylian Mbappé, according to the Madrid daily.

Thus, it remains to be seen whether Haaland will honor his contract with the Skyblues until 2027, or whether he will opt for another club during the next transfer period.
