Three days after being slapped 6-1 by the same Juventus in the 1/8 finals of the Italian Cup, Salernitana thought they had learned the lessons of the past. Faced with the Piedmontese club this Sunday, as part of the 19th day of Serie A, Paulo Sousa’s players were finally beaten (1-2) on the gong.

If they had opened the score thanks to Giulio Maggiore, served by the former Rennais Loum Tchaouna (39th), the Salernitans were joined with the goal of Iling Junior (65th), following the expulsion of Maggiore ten minutes later early. Finally, Dusan Vlahovic also took part in the celebration by scoring the winning goal in added time (90+1). A capital achievement, which allows Juve (46 points) to stay in contact with leader Inter Milan (48 points) in the standings. Salernitana remains bottom of the championship.
