Former Chelsea FC player, Timo Werner left to relaunch in Germany in the summer of 2022. The RB Leipzig striker is ready to return to the Premier League, alongside Tottenham.

Having passed through VfB Stuttgart before appearing at RB Leipzig, Timo Werner then attracted the attention of a Premier League big name. So much so that in the summer of 2020, the German international took charge of Chelsea FC with the intention of establishing himself there. Unfortunately for him, the challenge was not conclusive and after two chaotic seasons during which he scored twenty-three goals (and gave twenty-one assists) in eighty-nine matches, Werner returned to Leipzig . But a year and a half later, here he is again.

According to an indiscretion revealed on Saturday by Fabrizio Romano, the German striker agreed to respond favorably to Tottenham’s appeal. The journalist explained that the player was very interested in working under Ange Postecoglou, while the coach of the Spurs approved the idea of such recruitment.

A loan with purchase option?

Negotiations are reportedly underway between RB Leipzig and Tottenham. Discussions revolve around a loan this winter, with a potential purchase option at stake. Since the start of the season, Timo Werner has taken part in fourteen meetings with his team, scoring only two small goals.
