Miracle for Inter

Inter retained its place as leader of Serie A on Saturday against Hellas Verona, with great success and the help of a French opponent.

THE leader opposed to the first relegation. Inter started as clear favorites against Hellas Verona before the start of Saturday afternoon in Serie A. The teammates of Thuram and Pavard (holders) also had the advantage of playing on their San Siro pitch.

But despite the opening score of the essential captain and center forward Lautaro Martinez in the 13th minute (16th goal in the Italian Championship), this meeting of the 19th day saw Verone equalize in the 74th minute by Frenchman Thomas Henry (1-1).

And the miracle happened. The Nerazzurri snatched victory through Frattesi, on the verge of offside, receiving a rebound from Barella (2-1, 90th+3), before a missed penalty by Henry in the 10th minute of added time.

The French striker found Sommer’s right post and missed a great opportunity to be Verona’s hero. Unfortunately for him.
