Facing the Golden Lion in the Coupe de France this Saturday, Lille scored the biggest victory in its history.

THE LOSC started its year 2024 in the most beautiful way. While the 32nd final of the Coupe de France which pitted them against Golden Lion, a Martinican Regional 1 club, could seem like a trap, Paulo Fonseca’s men were merciless and quietly qualified for the 16th finals.

After scoring 7 goals in the first period, the Mastiffs finally won 12-0, which constitutes the largest victory in its history, breaking a record which dated from January 1945 (12-1). It is also the largest victory by a club in the Coupe de France, tied with Valenciennes in 1979. Note Zhegrova’s hat-trick, Jonathan David’s hat-trick and Haraldsson’s first two goals with LOSC .
