The Franco-Algerian striker collapsed on the pitch this Saturday during a Qatar Cup match.
Andy Delort caused a big scare this Saturday. During the Qatar Cup match, the former Nantes striker fell on the pitch and began to convulse. He was immediately evacuated off the field.
Delort collapses on the ground
The first images were relatively worrying, and they were reminiscent of what happened to Christian Eriksen during the last Euro. Especially since the Algerian international seemed unconscious. Several of his teammates also took their heads in their hands, which left them fearing the worst.

In the end, there was more fear than harm. Taken out on a stretcher, Delort quickly regained his senses. He went for medical examinations, which revealed nothing. It was probably a vagal discomfort.
More fear than harm
In the second half, and with a banana in hand, Delort appeared in the stands. All smiles, he took a few selfies with the supporters. Proof that he was in good health and that this episode was well behind him.
Delort is currently the top scorer in the Qatari championship. He has 8 achievements to his credit. An efficiency which, however, did not allow him to secure a place in the Fennecs list for the CAN in Ivory Coast.
