Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has defended his former player Sergio Ramos against criticism.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says Sergio Ramos will always have his full support.
“Ramos? A courageous tribute »
The former Real Madrid captain lashed out at Sevilla FC fans after the home defeat to Athletic Bilbao this week. Ramos lost his cool during the post-match interview.
Asked about this angry moment from his former protégé, Ancelotti said: “I like him a lot and I hope he finishes his career in the best possible way. He will do it because he is a serious professional and a courageous man.”
Ancelotti is grateful to Ramos, and that is understandable. Without him, he probably would not have won the decima in 2014. The Andalusian full-back’s saving header allowed the Merengue to snatch extra time against Atlético before winning 3-1.
