The English club Newcastle reacted to the rumor that is sending its star Bruno Guimaraes to PSG.
During this transfer window, many rumors are circulating. Some are true, and some are not. However, it is never pleasant for a club to see its star player announced as leaving. That’s what happened to Newcastle this week.
Newcastle retain Bruno Guimaraes
The English club could lose its playing master Bruno Guimaraes to Paris SG. The French champions are looking for a creative environment and they have reportedly set their sights on the Brazilian international.
On the Saint-James Park side, we moderately appreciated this announcement. Eddie Howe, the team’s manager, was quick to react and deny any upcoming transfer for his key player. In an interview with Chronicle NUFC, he said: “We want to keep our best players. When you talk about them, you want to keep them at the club as long as possible, and that’s of course our goal.”
If there is indeed Parisian interest in the former Lyon player, it is not certain that the Magpies manager will have a say in a potential move. Newcastle cannot match the power of PSG nor the desire of the best players to play in a competitive club capable of competing for the biggest titles each season.
