Marseille will not be able to recruit Cameroonian midfielder Lucien Angoumé. But there is an alternative to this option.

In order to fill the gaps in its midfield, OM considered getting their hands on the promising Cameroonian player Lucien Angoumé (Inter Milan). But the track turned out to be very complicated and Pablo Longoria is no longer too convinced by this profile.

OM is eyeing a Guinean

The club is working on other avenues and one of them would lead to Mohamed Mady Camara. According to Insider Marwan Belkacem, generally well informed about the Marseille club’s transfer window, there is real interest in this Olympiakos member.

Aged 26, Camara studied at AC Ajaccio (between 2016 and 2018). And he also knows what it’s like to play in a major European championship, since he played for AS Roma last season. A loan of a few months which allowed him to play 21 matches under the giallorossa colors.

Mady Camara is one of the very best Guinean players, but he was not selected to play in the CAN. Kaba Diawara chose to compose without him. If OM recruits him, he will therefore be operational this January.
