After a rather successful first season in London, the 27-year-old defender lost his starting place this year and played only 12 matches for only four starts with the Hammers. The German international is therefore loaned to Monaco until the end of the 2023-2024 financial year with a purchase option which would amount to 11 million euros. He is ASM’s second winter recruit after Kassoum Ouattara, recruited from Amiens.
