At the end of his contract at the end of the season, Steve Mandanda could soon extend for another year with Stade Rennais.

As he celebrates his 39th birthday in March, Steve Mandanda doesn’t seem satisfied yet. After 15 years with Olympique de Marseille, the French international joined the Rennais Stadium during the 2022 summer transfer window and continued his great career in Ligue 1. He is currently the 13th most capped player with 520 matches.

A one-year extension?

A number which should continue to grow by the end of the current season, and perhaps even after. According to information from RMC Sport, the Breton club would in fact consider extending the contract of the 2018 world champion, which expires in June, for an additional season, a desire supported by the motivation and good form of the French goalkeeper. Who gives himself time to think about his future, he should meet the club’s management in the coming weeks.
