Alright, folks, get ready for some exciting news from the African football scene! The CAF Awards, also known as the African Ballon d’Or, is set to take place on December 11th in Marrakech. While we anxiously wait for the finalists to be revealed, the African football governing body has announced the top 5 finalists for the Young African Player of the Year award.
In the running, we have Moroccan talents Abde Ez (Betis) and Bilal El Khannouss (Genk), who both had an impressive season, clinching the U23 AFCON title. The Senegalese sensation Amara Diouf (15 years old) is also a finalist, currently wowing audiences at the U17 World Cup after being named the best player of the U17 AFCON. Joining him is Lamine Camara from FC Metz. And let’s not forget Dango Ouattara, the former Lorient player now tearing it up at Bournemouth.
