Passed into the mixed zone after PSG’s victory against Toulouse (2-0) during the Champions Trophy, Kylian Mbappé was surprised by a question about his role in Luis Enrique’s team.
Kylian Mbappé is what we call a good client for journalists. When the Bondynois appears in front of the microphones, he rarely dodges sensitive subjects, and there are often interesting elements to be drawn from his answers. Again on Wednesday evening, the PSG striker did not hesitate to talk about his future, even if he had nothing concrete to announce.
However, it sometimes happens that Mbappé reprimands journalists when a question is (according to him) poorly formulated. This is what happened on Wednesday at the end of his time in the mixed zone, on the last question. This focused on the freedom he enjoys in Luis Enrique’s system, to find out if it could encourage him to extend at PSG.
” What is the connection ? I don’t understand, replied Mbappé, with the little change in intonation that he is accustomed to. Wasn’t I important before? I have always been important. I am continuing what I have had since my arrival at PSG. » As it turns out, this was probably not the answer the journalist was hoping for…
