AS Roma: Tiago Pinto will leave his post as sporting director in February

It’s the end of an adventure for Tiago Pinto at AS Roma. Indeed, the club in the Italian capital has just announced that the Portuguese sporting director will leave his post on February 3, in exactly one month. Arriving three years ago to lead Giallorossa sports policy, the 39-year-old leader will have succeeded in particular in enlisting José Mourinho at the head of the first team, winner of the Europa Conference League in 2022 before falling in the final of the C3 the next year. “AS Roma expresses its gratitude to Tiago Pinto for his unwavering dedication and hard work over the past three years and wishes him good luck for the future”we can read in the ASR press release.

“After three years, I consider my cycle at Roma to be over and, as I prepare to leave, I would like to thank everyone who made my stay at this Club and in this city special: first and foremost the Friedkin family , which allowed me to live a unique experience and to serve a historic club, in a country where football is passion and tradition, declared the main person concerned. I would also like to express my gratitude to the coaches, players, collaborators and all the people who supported me in the renovation of the sports space”, continued Tiago Pinto, “Together we shared the responsibility and the privilege to work for a precious asset, which is Roma itself.”
