Liga leader with 45 points, tied with Girona, Real Madrid has the opportunity to win the honorary title of winter champion in the event of a victory, at home, against Mallorca (kick-off 7:15 p.m., a match to follow on FM). Undefeated for 17 matches (14 wins and 3 draws), the Madrilenians are largely favorites against the Balearic Islands club, 14th, but which nevertheless remains on a series of five positive results.
For this meeting, Carlo Ancelotti must deal with numerous absences, particularly in the defensive sector. Alaba and Militao are long-term injured just like Courtois. Camavinga and Mendy are too fair and Nacho is suspended. It is therefore Tchouaméni who will play in central defense with Rudiger. Carvajal returns to the right while Fran Garcia starts on the left. In the middle, it’s classic with Kroos, Modric and Valverde. Up front, Vinicius returns after a long injury and finds Rodrygo and Bellingham. On the Mallorca side, Javier Aguirre is deprived of Costa (suspended) and Muriqi (injured) but we find in the eleven a former L1 resident with the former Reims goalkeeper Rajkovic. For the rest, it is a 3-4-2-1 system with in particular the experienced Nastasic in defense. Maffeo and Gonzalez will be the pistons while in front Larin will be supported by Rodrigues and Sanchez.
