This Wednesday, January 3 was the deadline for candidates to officially present themselves regarding the takeover of the Stade de France. The enclosure located in Saint-Denis belongs to the State but will find a buyer in the coming weeks, who will take office from July 2025. Candidates had until midday to submit their applications to Fininfra, the infrastructure financing support mission of the Ministry of Finance. But one candidate was missing.

Indeed, according to newspaper information The Parisian, Paris Saint-Germain is no longer in the race to buy the Stade de France. The capital club, notably through its president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, has already expressed its interest in buying the Stade de France, but has not followed through on its intentions due to the complexity of the matter. Always according to The Parisian, PSG prefers to focus on two options: buying the Parc des Princes or building a new stadium. As a reminder, the Ligue 1 leader plans to renovate the Parc des Princes while relations with the city of Paris are not in good shape.
