Stade Rennais could record an important departure in the coming hours.
Not spared from criticism during this first part of the season, Arnaud Kalimuendo could leave Stade Rennais. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker would be Eintracht Frankfurt’s priority for this winter transfer window, according to information from the newspaper L’Equipe.
The German club is in fact looking for a central striker after the departure – unfilled – of Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain last summer. With this in mind, Frankfurt would see Kalimuendo as a suitable profile to strengthen its attack.
Rennes could reshape its attack
For Rennes, this sale could be interesting given the player’s current performance, considered disappointing after an investment of 20 million euros a year and a half ago. 20 million euros is precisely the sum that Eintracht would have formulated to try to secure the services of Kalimuendo.
The cards are now in the hands of Rennes leaders. According to L’Équipe, the Breton club would not be reluctant to let go of their attacker and have even already surveyed the market to find a successor.
