OL intend to strike a major blow during the January transfer window to solidify their rearguard.
John Textor’s OL was among the first clubs in France to be active during this transfer period. They have completed the arrivals of the two Brazilians Lucas Perri and Aldeyrson and they do not intend to stop there.
OL in competition with two European leaders
In order to give themselves more chances of achieving their objective, which is the 6e place in the ranking (the one which gives access to C4), the Rhone residents plan to rely on a professional defender this month of January. A French international is able to arrive at Groupama Stadium.
The player concerned is Clément Lenglet according to what “Le Foot” reveals. The former Nancy player is not really in the odor of sanctity at Aston Villa (only 1 Premier League match played this season). OL therefore want to attract him to their ranks and make him the new boss of their rearguard.
Lenglet also has touches with AC Milan and Bayern Munich. However, these two European giants do not secure a starting place in the international tricolor, unlike Lyon.
The matter is not simple, however. Lenglet is only on loan at Aston Villa. If he has to move again this season, his loan must be terminated. Furthermore, FC Barcelona no longer wants a temporary transfer. The Blaugrana demand a direct transfer and for no less than 8 million euros.
