The Brazilian, on loan this season to FC Nantes, could return to Arsenal this winter.
Marquinhos and Nantes may soon be over. According to L’Equipe, the Canaries are discussing with Arsenal to end the loan of the Brazilian winger, who has only played 7 small matches with the FCN this season, for a total of 149 minutes.
FC Nantes would particularly criticize its player for favoring the Olympic selection of Brazil, to compete in the Paris Olympics next summer. Marquinhos was thus authorized to leave his club for a month, in the middle of the championship, to compete in the Pan American Games in October-November. From now on, he would like to participate at the end of January in the Conmebol pre-Olympic tournament, notably with Endrick, the new star of Real Madrid. A competition which does not appear among the FIFA dates, and Marquinhos therefore needs to have the agreement of his club to be released.
