PSG announced the arrival of a first reinforcement on this opening day of the transfer window.

PSG made quick work of the transfer window. As soon as the market opened, the Ile-de-France club announced via its networks that reinforcements were arriving within it. This is Lucas Beraldo, the Brazilian center back.

Aged 20, this element arrives from Sao Paulo. He has signed up for a period of five years and will wear the number 35 jersey for the French champions. With his compatriot Marquinhos, he could form a 100% Brazilian hinge.

“I am very happy to join a Club as ambitious as Paris Saint-Germain. This is an important step in my career, which will help me progress. I can’t wait to get to know my new teammates and take my first steps in this jersey.”declared Lucas Beraldo after initialing his contract.

Beraldo is fully operational. He has already trained with the group and is likely to make his debut in his new colors on Wednesday during the Champions Trophy match against Toulouse.

The officialization of de Beraldo should be followed by that of Gabriel Moscardo. The latter injured his foot and will be absent from the field for approximately three months. However, this unavailability should not call into question his commitment to the French club.

Other reinforcements expected by the end of the transfer window

The Parisian transfer window will perhaps not be limited to its two reinforcements. Deprived of Achraf Hakimi and Kang In-Lee due to CAN and the Asian Cup, Paris will eventually make other acquisitions. Manchester City’s Englishman Kalvin Phillips is allegedly in his sights.
