Executives from Olympique Lyonnais, Danielle van de Donk and Ellie Carpenter form a high-level duo on the right side of their formation. If they complement each other wonderfully on the field, this is also the case in life since the two women are a couple. They have also chosen to take a new step in their relationship by getting engaged.
They each made the information official by posting a message on their respective social networks. “ My partner for life », they wrote in the caption of a photo where they appear side-by-side, Danielle van de Donk showing her left hand adorned with an engagement ring. Many congratulatory messages have poured in since the message was posted online, coming for example from the Lyon club, but also from French players and teammates such as Wendie Renard and Eugénie Le Sommer. A winning couple
Respectively midfielder and defender, Danielle van de Donk and Ellie Carpenter have already won a lot with OL, with two Division 1 titles (2022 and 2023), and even a Champions League (2022).
