Managers of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad have finally commented on the “desertion” of their star striker, Karim Benzema.

Al-Ittihad gave the green light to Benzema

The former Real Madrid star was absent from training on Thursday and Friday before leaving Saudi Arabia without warning in the process. Those around him justified this unexpected departure by a foot injury, but this excuse did not convince many people. Al-Ittihad coach Marcelo Gallardo even expressed his frustration with this situation.

On Sunday, a member of the Al-Ittihad leadership attempted to ease tensions by telling Asharq al-Awsat: “Benzema asked for three days of absence from training. Three days off due to special circumstances. Thursday evening he went to Madrid. Karim is a very professional player and remains attached to the team.”

Everything is going well in the best of all possible worlds. But, in this case, why have you invented a pretext for this absence which had been validated by the club. All doubts are therefore not completely resolved about KB9.
