Pierre Sage, the coach of Olympique Lyonnais, now works with two new assistants, one with a specific profile.

OL seem to find a little stability. After having fired two coaches this season, Laurent Blanc and Fabio Grosso, the Lyon club owned by the American John Textor will perhaps let Pierre Sage work quietly. Announced as interim upon his arrival on the bench on November 30, the 44-year-old French technician was confirmed for the rest of the 2023-2024 financial year, thanks in particular to his ability to have taken Les Gones out of the last place in the ranking.

Pierre Sage even won his case when he asked for two new deputies, explains The Team. When training resumes this Sunday, December 31, the OL players will discover Jamal Alioui, 41, and Damien della Santa, 34. We knew the latter, a native of Caen, at OGC Nice in Christophe Galtier’s staff during the 2021-2022 season.

As at the time of the Aiglons, Della Santa will take care of the set phases in Lyon. This former Principal Education Advisor in Oise is a specialist in free kicks, corners, and throw-ins. With him, Alexandre Lacazette and his teammates should improve in this sector.
