However, PSG hopes that their 24-year-old star does not leave on a free transfer and is looking to reach an agreement with his camp for compensation. According to Spanish press, including Ramón Álvarez de Mon, PSG hopes that Mbappé will forego 150 million euros in bonuses or other compensation. However, the priority remains to extend the World Cup champion’s contract. According to the expert, “The information I have suggests that there is no renewal agreement at this time, but Al-Khelaïfi generally doesn’t lie, and there is hope… If it doesn’t happen, we believe that PSG will receive compensation.”
Looking deeper into the situation, Ramón Álvarez de Mon points out that Kylian Mbappé is an unpredictable player who can change his mind based on results and his day-to-day feelings. Real Madrid, however, wants the 24-year-old to stop hesitating and sign in January, even though they are reportedly becoming less fixated on his signature. While Mbappé remains a big target for the Spanish club, they are not desperate for his transfer.
Even though the player is still uncertain and has a few options to consider, Ramón Álvarez de Mon also indicates that Kylian Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has told Real Madrid that her son will eventually sign with them in January 2024. “How is Madrid? Tired, there is no longer that obsession from before… They like him, but they believe Mbappé needs to take the leap in January. His mother represents him and knows the conditions… There is an agreement between Fayza and Florentino, but there is no longer that obsession for Mbappé that would not make him go for Haaland… Florentino doesn’t know if Mbappé will sign… Fayza, however, has guaranteed that he wants to play in Madrid.”
