Elyaz Zidane, things are going wrong

The youngest son of Zinedine Zidane could leave Real Madrid, where his playing time is insufficient.

In the Zidane family, I ask for the youngest. L’Equipe is publishing an article this Sunday on the four sons of “Zizou”, and is particularly interested in the situation of the youngest, Elyaz Zidane.

Like his big brothers, the youngest learns at Real Madrid, where he has played since the age of 7, mainly as a left back. But he would be tempted to look elsewhere, because he hasn’t played much lately: two starts in 21 days with the Merengues U19s, and no appearance in the Youth League.

Only one Zidane left at Real?

His trainer, Alvaro Arbeloa, doesn’t really seem to count on him. Elyaz Zidane is, however, a player who has shown some promise, particularly with the France team jersey. With the Bleuets, he won the Euro U17 in 2022. His objective is to keep his place in the selection, where Bernard Diomède is counting on him, with a view to the Euro U19 which will take place next summer.

If Elyaz were to leave, there would only be one Zidane left at Real Madrid: Théo (21), Castilla midfielder, who recently made a few appearances in Carlo Ancelotti’s group. Goalkeeper Luca Zidane (25 years old) now plays in Spanish D2, at Eibar, while the eldest, Enzo (28 years old), is now without a club after a last stint with Rodez.
