Defeated on Sunday at Fulham (2-1, 20th day of the Premier League), Arsenal had a third match in a row without success in the league. Tottenham are back on their heels thanks to their victory against Bournemouth (3-1).

There were two matches this Sunday on the London side. On the one hand, Fulham welcomed its neighbor Arsenal. On the other hand, Tottenham hosted Bournemouth. In the first duel, it is the Cottagers who won against the Gunners (2-1) and in the second, the Spurs asserted their rank against the Cherries (3-1). In the standings, Arsenal are only one point ahead of Tottenham, now just one point behind them.

If it is not yet a crisis at Arsenal, Mikel Arteta is nevertheless obliged to note that his men have been at an almost complete standstill for three matches. A draw and two defeats, this is the sad record of Gunners on their latest releases. This Sunday, however, they opened the scoring through Saka (5th), but Jimenez (29th) and De Cordova-Reid (60th) allowed Fulham to reverse the situation to finally win. Good operation for the locals who stopped a series of three losses in a row and consolidated their thirteenth place.

Tottenham remain in the race

For Arsenal, the story is different since at the same time, Tottenham won at home against Bournemouth thanks to goals from Sarr (9th) – who left in tears after an injury after half an hour of play -, Son ( 72nd) and Richarlison (80th). The reduction in the gap signed by Scott (84th) will not have changed anything. Spurs remain in the race for Europe and the title while their victim of the day is twelfth.
