Real Madrid face a crucial duel over their interest in Kylian Mbappé in January.
Los Blancos remain in the lead to recruit the French team captain in 2024, after pursuing the Paris Saint-Germain striker for two years. It seems increasingly likely that Mbappé will leave Paris in the coming months, although he retains an option for a one-year extension at PSG.
The latest update from Madrid says they will look to make contact with Mbappé in early 2024 and want a response from him within two weeks. Mbappé will be offered a net salary of 26 million euros per year at Madrid, almost double that of any other player in the Real Madrid squad, as well as a signing bonus of 130 million euros.
However, according to information from Talksport, Liverpool remain looking for the Bondynois. Jurgen Klopp would be a big potential attraction for Mbappé at Anfield, but Madrid are ahead of them in negotiations, while the Reds’ shareholding remains unconvinced of the investment needed to sign the Frenchman.
