Manchester City won their last match of the year this Saturday. At home, the Citizens dominated Sheffield United (2-0).

Manchester City lived up to their rank this Saturday during their final outing of the calendar year. At the Etihad Stadium, and without much difficulty, the Sky Blues defeated Sheffield United (2-0), the bottom of the standings.

Foden inspires Manchester City

While they had been jostled by Everton in the middle of the week (3-1), the European champions this time did not have too much trouble securing plenty of points. In their hands, and with one goal scored per half-time, they managed to secure the victory.

Phil Foden was the big man of the match with two assists offered. The English winger first served Rodri for the opener in the 14the minute. Then, he did it again at game time by delivering a caviar to Julian Alvarez. The Argentinian just had to push the ball to the bottom and score his fourth goal in the last three matches.

By winning this Saturday, Man City made a very good accounting transaction. While waiting for Arsenal’s exit against Fulham, Guardiola’s team climbs to 3e place in the ranking. Two points behind leader Liverpool. Enough to wake up with a smile and the feeling of duty accomplished.
