Former French international Hugo Lloris has just joined the third club of his career.

After several months of inactivity, Hugo Lloris will finally be able to play football again. Unwanted at Tottenham, where he was an indisputable starter for a decade, the former French international joined the ranks of Los Angeles FC.

Lloris thanked Tottenham fans

The 2018 world champion signed a one-year contract with the Californian team, with an option for two additional years. The two clubs concerned confirmed this transfer on Saturday evening.

After the deal was made official, Lloris sent a message of thanks to Spurs supporters. The Frenchman remained very attached to the London team and the fans who supported him during his time in the north of the English capital.

It was the young Italian Guglielmo Vicario who took Lloris’ place in the Tottenham cage. Ange Postecoglou, the team’s new manager, preferred youth to experience.

The departure of the former Lyon player had become inevitable. And experience in MLS, where Lionel Messi now plays, is not the worst rebound. Additionally, LAFC is a competitive team. This year, the club finished runner-up. Within this team, he will notably rub shoulders with former Stéphanois Bouanga.
