According to this latest publication, which cites the player’s entourage, KB9 is injured in a foot and has received authorization from his club to leave Jeddah for a few days, not being available for the Saudi Pro League match against Al-Taee – match which was postponed due to weather conditions which made the pitch impassable.

The Saudi media Arriyadiyah for its part refutes this thesis, citing “personal reasons” for this absence and an Al-Ittihad staff presented with a fait accompli. If we are to believe the daily Asharq Al-Awsat, this is not the first time this season that Karim Benzema “skips” training.
