After Real Madrid, FC Barcelona would in turn seek to enlist one of the great hopes of English football.

Barça are determined to bring Mason Greenwood into their ranks. Like Real Madrid, the Catalan club would seek to recover one of the best talents across the Channel.

The English winger is currently shining brightly with Getafe, where he has been on loan this season from the Red Devils. However, he may not end the exercise with the training of the Madrid suburbs. The Blaugrana are pushing hard to attract this element to their midst.

“It matches Barça’s style”

According to The Sun, a source said that “Barcelona are extremely interested in Greenwood and are determined to bring him in”. The source goes on to state that “ for now, they are leading the race and at the front of the line. Scouts observed Greenwood and were tasked with determining whether he fit Barcelona’s style of play. The most common opinion is that this is the case and that he would be an asset to the team.”

Barca will, however, have to pay a sum of money to snatch Greenwood from United. The English club is inclined to let their prodigy go, but only as part of a permanent transfer.

As a reminder, before relaunching in Spain, Greenwood had been sidelined for several months. He was in legal trouble, with a sexual assault complaint filed against him. The charges were subsequently dropped and the player was cleared by his management. An episode that is now part of the past.
