A PSG player is living a nightmare

Sidelined since September at PSG, Hugo Ekitike is having a very difficult time with his current situation.

A professional player’s career can quickly change from dream to nightmare. Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in 2022 with the status of a promising young prospect, Hugo Ekitike is today going through the most complicated period of his young career. Unwanted this summer after just one season in the French capital, the French striker was close to joining England, before ultimately staying. Since then, his record has been catastrophic with only 8 minutes of play and almost total exclusion. Since his aborted transfer at the end of August, the former Rémois has never featured in Luis Enrique’s group in Ligue 1 or the Champions League.

Weakened mental health

And if we are to believe the information from The Team this Friday, the 21-year-old player would experience his current situation very badly from a mental point of view. Between the distance, the lack of competition and the relentlessness suffered on social networks, the Parisian number 44 would be very affected and sees everything that has been said about him as “misunderstood relentlessness”. The Team also reveals that he had accepted a loan offer from Crystal Palace last summer but that the Ile-de-France club refused because the terms did not suit him. Ekitike could therefore take advantage of the winter transfer window to find a way out and relaunch a career which has taken a big hit in the wing. AC Milan and some Bundesliga clubs could be interested in his profile.
