Physical problems are piling up in north London. Already deprived of Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Rodrigo Bentancur (ankle) and James Maddison (knee), Tottenham sees a new executive join their infirmary, in the person of Cristian Romero. It was Australian coach Ange Postecoglou who announced the bad news about his Argentinian central defender (25), who left at half-time during Spurs’ victory against Everton (2-1).

“Romero is not in his best form. He had a scan and is suffering from a pulled hamstring. We plan four to five weeks for him., declared the 58-year-old coach at a press conference before taking to the Brighton pitch this Thursday evening (8:30 p.m.) for the 19th day of the Premier League. A decisive meeting for the London team in the race for the top 4, qualifying for the Champions League.
