Oriol Romeu has been underperforming since his arrival from Girona, which has prevented him from getting game time in recent months. A younger alternative is being sought, someone who can become Barcelona’s sole pivot for many years to come. One of the leading candidates to fill that void is Gabriel Moscardo, with sporting director Deco a big fan of the 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder.

However, FC Barcelona will not sign Moscardo, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to sign the teenager. The Parisians will pay 20 million euros to Corinthians, with 2 million euros in bonuses.
Unfortunately for FC Barcelona, they are unable to compete with clubs like PSG due to their financial problems. The search for a center continues and the list of players they can recruit is not very long.
