Kylian Mbappé’s transfer to Real Madrid is still pending.
Again for Kylian Mbappé? Very close to joining the ranks of Real Madrid in 2022, the French striker finally opted to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. According to the Spanish press, it seems that history is repeating itself.
According to Defensa Central, the 2018 world champion initially intended to finalize his contract with the Madrid club in early January. Media sources also report a confidential agreement between the two parties, ignoring UEFA rules which prohibit clubs from conducting negotiations before January 1. However, Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, reportedly requested additional time to discuss with the Spanish club.
This request could be linked to the fact that the French champion has not yet abandoned the idea of keeping his star. Indeed, the Parisian club would be ready to offer him a new contract with a salary equivalent to or higher than the one he currently receives.
This situation could, once again, complicate the transfer of Bondynois to Casa Blanca. The Spanish club may not be willing to wait indefinitely for the player’s decision.
