Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a warning to Al-Hilal after helping Al-Nassr to a vital victory over Karim Benzema’s Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese striker scored two goals from the penalty spot to help Al Nassr win 5-2 against Al Ittihad on Tuesday evening.
Abderrazak Hamdallah’s 14th-minute goal gave Al-Ittihad the lead, but Ronaldo converted a penalty to equalize five minutes later. The first half was hotly contested, but Al-Nassr found high gear after the hour mark, with Ronaldo scoring his second goal of the evening in the 68th minute and Sadio Mané finding the net in the 75th and 82nd minutes.
Ronaldo took to his Instagram account to celebrate the victory and also made it known that his team is not giving up on their title ambitions despite being seven points behind Saudi championship leaders Al-Hilal. “Important victory! 💪 We don’t stop! 👊🏽”, enthused Cr7 at the end of the shock.
