Senegal coach Aliou Cissé has not been paid for several months as the CAN approaches.
The African Cup of Nations will begin on January 13 and on this occasion, the Senegal will defend its title acquired in 2022. But with less than three weeks before the start of the competition, the selection finds itself in a rather unique situation.

According to the local press, the Senegal coach Aliou Cisse would not have received a salary for… 6 months. A situation which is not new for him and his staff since his arrival in 2015. The salary of the former PSG player would amount to 30,000 euros net monthly, or 180,000 euros unpaid over the last six months. Qualified to defend their title, the Lions of Teranga will face Cameroon, Guinea and Gambia in Group C.
