PSG: the return of Nuno Mendes takes shape

His absence has inevitably been felt for several months at PSG. Sparkling upon his arrival in the capital in 2021, Nuno Mendes has not played a single match this season in the Parisian tunic. The fault was a nasty hamstring injury which even required an operation at the end of September. And even if Lucas Hernández had an impeccable first part of the season in the left lane of the Ile-de-France defense, to the point of appearing in our standard Ligue 1 team at mid-season, the return of the 21-year-old Portuguese left back is highly anticipated.

So, supporters of the reigning French champion should no longer wait too long. While his period of unavailability was set at 4 months at the end of September, the former Sporting Portugal player would be on schedule according to the indiscretions of The Team. Our colleagues have also collected testimony from those around the 21-year-old player who affirm that he is progressing well and that he is on time in terms of his initial planning. Good news therefore for Luis Enrique and his troop who could count on the will-o’-the-wisp Mendes for the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against Real Sociedad at the Parc des Princes on February 14.
