PL: Liverpool takes on Burnley and takes the lead

Hooked by Arsenal (1-1) this Saturday, Liverpool traveled to Burnley this Tuesday with the desire to take the lead in the Premier League. The Reds outmaneuvered the Clarets quite well and they started off strong. On the left side, Cody Gakpo struck and returned in front of the area full axis for Darwin Nunez who would finish with a nice shot landing on the right of the goal (1-0, 6th).

Dominant, Jürgen Klopp’s team was denied a goal from Cody Gakpo (29th) before Mohamed Salah found the crossbar (34th). In the second half, Harvey Elliott was also denied a goal (55th). A domination not materialized by Liverpool who remained under threat from their opponent until Diogo Jota’s goal in the final moments (2-0, 90th). With this 2-0 victory, Liverpool take the lead with two points ahead of Arsenal and three points ahead of Aston Villa.
