Currently in Los Angeles with Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr met the man he describes as his idol in the world of sport: LeBron James.

Vinicius Jr and Eduardo Camavinga took advantage of their vacation – and incidentally their status as seriously injured – to take a “little” trip to Los Angeles. The Brazilian striker and the French midfielder treated themselves to a getaway to the City of Angels for the holidays. We saw Camavinga at the LA Rams NFL game four days ago, but also Vini Jr in Oklahoma City, to attend a Thunder game with a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander jersey on his shoulders. Monday, for Christmas, the two friends from Madrid confirmed their passion for basketball and the NBA by following from the front row the clash between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics, two historically rival franchises.

On the sidelines of this match, won by the Celtics (126-115), Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Jr were able to meet LeBron James, one of the living legends of world sport. The Auriverde had a “King” jersey on him and posed next to the best scorer in NBA history, offering him a Brazil jersey autographed by him, with a little note: “For my idol, King James”. Camavinga simply posed for a photo, all smiles, with the man who will soon celebrate his 39th birthday and continues to evolve at an exceptional level despite the checkered results of his franchise.

Vinicius Jr has not played since November 17 and a Brazil-Colombia during which he injured his left thigh. Eduardo Camavinga has not appeared in the White House jersey since November 11 and a match against Valencia. The former Rennais then seriously injured his knee during a clash in training with the Blues with Ousmane Dembélé.
