Fatih Terim has a new position!

The famous Turkish coach, Fatih Térim, has just been entrusted with a new mission abroad.

Fatih Terim, aka “the Emperor”, will have his second experience abroad as a coach. 22 years after his time at AC Milan, he will take care of the Greek team Panathinaikos.

Terim is not ready to hang up

The famous Turkish coach was appointed to this position on Tuesday, replacing Serbian Ivan Jovanovic. The latter was relieved of his duties after the elimination of all European competitions for the Hellenic team. In its Europa League group, it was notably beaten by Stade Rennais.

Although Terim is 70 years old, he has no plans to retire. He signed a contract for a year and a half with the Athens giant.

The name Terim is especially linked to Galatasaray. He had four stints at this club, the last of which was between 2017 and 2022. In 2000, he was the coach who led the Istanbulites to their only European trophy. A victory against Arsenal in the Uefa Cup final.
