Mauro Icardi and his wife Wanda Nara were both left with black eyes after the Galatasaray star hit the goal post during the match against Fenerbahçe.
The striker was in action during the Super Lig match against Fenerbahçe and hit the goal post head-on after challenging for the ball in the penalty area. It was also claimed that he was punched in the face by a Fenerbahçe player and may have been grazed by an opponent’s boot after falling. After the incident, the attacker posted photos on Instagram with his wife and children. He obviously took it in good humor, because Wanda had given herself a black eye while putting on makeup for one of the photos.
In addition to having the same bruises, the couple sported the same pajamas and wished their fans a happy holiday season, with the caption: ” Merry Christmas to everyone. We wish you, from Istanbul, health, peace and lots of love.” The 0-0 draw between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray allows the Super Lig to remain tight! The two teams remain tied at the top of the table with 44 points from 17 matches, with Fenerbahçe taking a slight lead on goal difference. Gala star Icardi and Fenerbahçe striker Edin Dzeko are also tied at the top of the league’s goalscoring charts, with 12 goals each.
The two teams will face each other again on December 29 in the Turkish Super Cup. There will then be a break in the Turkish championship, with Galatasaray’s next match scheduled for January 7 against Konyaspor.
