Summer 2023. The future of Kevin Danso shakes up the Lensois microcosm. After losing Seko Fofana and Lois Openda, RC Lens is in disarray and fears the departure of another pillar. Despite a less successful first part of the season than the previous one, the No. 4 from Lens discovered the Champions League and the warm European atmospheres.
Two Premier League clubs probed Danso’s entourage
His performances also continued to be widely followed, particularly in the Premier League where his impressive physique and his defensive qualities would work wonders. According to our information, two mid-table Premier League clubs have sounded out the player’s entourage. But the Lensoise qualification in the Europa League play-off against Fribourg, the importance of performing a few months before Euro 2024 which he will play with Austria and the idea that his adventure in Artois is not over are all reasons which pushed the player to reject any desire to leave this winter.
We will therefore have to count on a Kevin Danso who is up like a cuckoo for the second part of the season. For Franck Haise, who made his defensive trio Medina-Gradit-Danso a must, this is very good news which should also be particularly well received by Lensois supporters.
